A photo taken in poor lighting or with a flat, washed-out look often just needs a small tonal correction rather than a full edit. This tool gives you two simple sliders — brightness and contrast — with a live preview that updates as you drag, so you can see the exact effect before committing to it. Brightness shifts the whole image lighter or darker; contrast stretches or compresses the difference between shadows and highlights for a punchier or softer look. Both work together, and a one-click reset link brings you back to the untouched original if you want to start over. Everything runs locally in your browser via Canvas — your photo is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
What does the contrast slider actually do?
It stretches or compresses the range between the darkest and lightest tones in the photo. Higher contrast pushes shadows darker and highlights brighter for a punchier look; lower contrast flattens the range for a softer, muted look.
Can I undo my changes?
Yes — a "Reset to original" link appears whenever either slider has been moved, which sets both back to zero (no adjustment) instantly.
Will this fix a very dark or blurry photo?
It can meaningfully brighten a dark photo or add punch to a flat one, but it can't recover detail that was never captured (for example, a genuinely blurry photo will still be blurry) — these sliders adjust tone, not sharpness or focus.
