A simple border can make a photo look more finished, frame it for printing, or set it apart from a busy page background. This tool adds a solid-color border of any width around your photo — the canvas expands outward rather than cropping into the image, so nothing from your original photo is lost. Adjust the width with a slider and pick any color you like, or use the one-click white border preset for the most commonly requested style. The live preview updates instantly as you adjust either setting, so you can see the exact result before downloading. Everything happens locally in your browser via Canvas; your photo is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
Does the border replace part of my photo, or add to it?
It adds to it — the canvas expands outward by the border width you set, so none of your original photo is cropped away. The final image is larger than the original by twice the border width in each dimension.
What does the "White Border Preset" button do?
It's a shortcut that sets the border to a plain white color at a reasonable default width — the most commonly requested border style — without you having to adjust the color picker manually.
Can I use a color other than white?
Yes — the color picker accepts any color, so you can match a border to a brand color, a frame, or just personal preference.
